How We Use Creative Software to Elevate Your Brand

At Big Yellow Fishes, our production workflow is built around three tools that work brilliantly together - Blender, Unreal Engine 5 and Adobe Creative Suite. That combination is how we move fast, stay flexible and deliver content that genuinely looks the part, without the costs that traditionally come with that level of quality.


Blender: Where Everything Starts

Blender is the foundation of our 3D pipeline. It's professional, powerful and open-source, which means we're not passing licensing fees onto our clients. We use it for everything from modelling and sculpting to rigging, animation, texturing and environment design. Because it integrates cleanly with Unreal Engine 5 and Adobe, assets move through our pipeline without friction, which keeps revision cycles short and delivery times fast.


Unreal Engine 5: Real-Time Results, Film-Quality Visuals

Unreal Engine 5 changed what's possible in video production. Real-time rendering means no waiting around for overnight render farms - lighting, camera work and environments can be adjusted and previewed instantly. The results are cinematic, and the process is dramatically faster than traditional CGI pipelines.

We use UE5 for brand films, product launch videos, commercials, architectural visualisations and virtual experiences. The short version: it lets us spend more time on the creative and less time waiting on the technical.

We also use Unreal Engine 5 for game development and interactive builds. The same assets created for cinematic projects can feed directly into playable experiences, simulations and training tools, which keeps costs down and quality consistent across everything we make.


Adobe Creative Suite: The Finishing Touch

Once everything is rendered and captured, Adobe is where it all comes together. Premiere Pro for editing and storytelling, After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects, Photoshop and Illustrator for textures, UI and marketing assets. It's where the visuals get polished and the branding gets locked in, making sure every piece of content lands consistently across social, web and advertising platforms.


One Pipeline, Less Friction

The real strength of how we work is that these three tools connect into a single, seamless pipeline. Assets built in Blender flow into Unreal Engine 5, and finished renders flow into Adobe. No rework, no translation issues, no unnecessary back and forth. Just a clean process from concept to delivery.
