In just over four days, we built Mind the Gap from nothing - a psychological horror, audio-visual experience set in the London Underground that follows a descent through memory, guilt and consequence. The tube carriage. The empty platform. The tunnel that goes somewhere it shouldn't. Every element of the environment was modelled, textured and lit by us, and the attention to detail in world-building is something we're genuinely proud of given the timeline.

The horror in Mind the Gap isn't loud. There are little to no jump scares. The game earns its dread through atmosphere, through the quality of the audio design and narration, and through a slow, creeping sense that something is deeply wrong with where you are and how you got there. We wanted it to feel like a memory you can't quite place - familiar enough to unsettle, wrong enough to disturb.

The whole thing is web-based and fully playable in your browser, which meant getting the balance of performance and visual quality right was a real part of the challenge.
