Brief

NCAAC Gymnastics are one of the founding clubs of British Gymnastics, and they're based in our home town in Northampton. They came to us wanting a set of promotional content that showcased the club, their coaching approach, and the community they've built over decades, and as part of a wider brand update, we rebuilt their website too.

Scope

1

Capturing the atmosphere and energy of the club authentically.

2

Giving young gymnasts a voice and letting them tell their own story.

3

Creating content that speaks directly to parents considering getting their children involved.

4

Showcasing the coaching culture and community that makes NCAAC special.

5

Delivering a refreshed website as part of a wider brand update.

Approach

This one was personal. NCAAC was the first project we ever went out and shot, and we wanted to do it justice.

We knew from the start that the story wasn't ours to tell. So we went in, spent time with the young people, and just tried to get out of the way. Toddlers finding their feet for the first time. Kids throwing themselves off bars like it's nothing. Coaches who came up through the club themselves and never really left. We just pointed the camera and let it all happen.

The interviews were where it really came alive. Hearing directly from the young gymnasts, about the confidence they'd built, the skills they'd picked up, the friendships they'd made, gave the video something that no amount of fancy camera work could. Parents watching it would hear from kids who look and sound just like their own. That felt important.

We kept the approach simple and unobtrusive throughout. No over-direction, no heavy production setup. Just genuine moments, captured honestly.

Alongside the video, we rebuilt the NCAAC website as part of a wider brand update, giving the club an online home that finally matched the warmth and quality of everything happening inside the gym.

Results & Outcome

We're really proud of how this one came out. For a first shoot, it showed us exactly the kind of work we wanted to be making - community-driven, people-first, and genuinely useful to the organisations we work with.

NCAAC now has promotional content that does their people real justice, a refreshed website, and a piece of content that speaks directly to the families who might one day walk through their doors. It's a reminder that high quality promotional content isn't just for big brands.

As a result of our promotional campaign, NCAAC now have over 300 girls on the waiting list ready to enrol!

If you're running a club, a charity, or anything community-based and want a video that tells your story properly, we'd love to chat.
