Brief

Commissioned as part of our ongoing relationship with Atari to produce a suite of product renders and a short promotional ad for a range of officially licensed Atari neon signs. The signs themselves covered three of the most iconic names in gaming history - Atari, Pong and Asteroids - and needed to look good enough to sell.

Approach

Working closely with Atari, we went back and forth on the sign designs until everything felt right. Each one needed to honour the source material whilst feeling fresh enough to work as a desirable modern product, and getting that balance right took some care.

For the individual renders, we created a hero shot for each sign, letting the neon glow do the talking against a dark, textured background. Asteroids got the cyan treatment with floating game elements framing the logo. Pong kept things bold and colourful with its classic paddle motif. The Atari logo sign was stripped right back, pure white neon on near-black, and honestly we think it's one of the most striking things we've made. Sometimes the icon just speaks for itself.

The fourth render brought all three together on a concrete wall, showing how the signs look as a collection. It was a smart move, and one that really helped communicate the full range to potential buyers in a single image.

The short promotional ad was built around the same visual world, packaging everything up into a punchy piece of content designed to stop people scrolling and get them clicking through to buy. We're really proud of how the whole suite came together, and it's another reminder of why we love working with our friends over at Atari!

Results & Outcome

The renders and ad gave Atari a cohesive set of campaign assets that worked hard across product pages, social media and paid advertising. Clean, cinematic, and immediately recognisable - exactly what iconic merchandise deserves.
